You don’t need to enroll in a full degree to learn with UPEACE. Our individual online courses give you the flexibility to explore critical issues in peace, sustainability, and global affairs while learning from wherever you are.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your professional skills, deepen your knowledge, explore a new field, or simply learn something meaningful, you can take individual courses through our Distance Education Programme—either for academic credit or for professional development.
Who can apply? Our courses are open to independent learners as well as students interested in pursuing the online M.A. in Sustainable Peace in the Contemporary World. For credit-bearing courses, applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and demonstrate strong academic preparation. We also value professional experience and a demonstrated commitment to positive social change.
All courses are taught in English, so applicants should have a strong command of written and spoken English. Language proficiency documentation may be required for applicants whose native language is not English.

Getting started with an online course at UPEACE is simple. Before your course begins, make sure you have:
- A computer with a reliable internet connection
- A valid email address that you check regularly
- A stable broadband internet connection suitable for video, live sessions, and other online learning activities
- A modern web browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge
- Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF reader for accessing course materials
