At the University for Peace (UPEACE), the title of Emeritus or Emerita is an esteemed honor granted to retired professors who wish to remain active in academia. This title recognizes those who have made significant and lasting contributions to our community through exceptional teaching and dedicated mentorship of our students.
Emeritus Professors are appointed by the Rector of the University for Peace, in close consultation with the Vice Rector and Resident Faculty Members. These distinguished individuals often continue their involvement with UPEACE as Visiting Faculty members, sharing their vast knowledge and experience with new generations of students.
Their ongoing contributions enrich the academic environment at UPEACE, ensuring that their legacy of excellence in education and scholarship continues to inspire and guide future UPEACERS.
