Global Center for Peace Innovation

The Global Center for Peace Innovation, established in 2021 under the leadership of UPEACE Vice Rector Dr. Juan Carlos Sainz-Borgo, serves as a hub for peace innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. By leveraging AI for peace, PeaceTech, and ethical technology, the Center addresses systemic inequality, promotes nonviolence, and upholds human dignity.

Mission

The Global Center for Peace Innovation works to promote a global culture of peace through theoretical and innovative initiatives, prioritizing nonviolence, sustainability, and human dignity. By fostering interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration, we promote the strategic use of technologies for addressing systemic inequality and building sustainable peace through initiatives like educational programs, digital literacy and peacebuilding training, community projects, peace tech research and development labs.

Vision

To shape a world where peace, innovation, and sustainability depend on intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration and ethical action. As a hub for creative work, we seek to address the root causes of conflict and inequality while upholding the dignity of all people,  where initiatives are broadly defined to include new research methods, applications, interventions, training, technologies, or inventions.
